Conditions we work with

Five conditions. One root-cause approach.

If your body has been signalling for a long time and no one is listening, you’re in the right place.

01

PCOS

Irregular cycles, weight that won't shift, and a metformin script that hasn't moved the needle.

What we look for

Insulin resistance, androgen excess, gut and stress drivers.

02

Gut health, IBS, bloating

Bloating that doesn't care what you ate, alternating bowels, and a gut that runs your mood.

What we look for

SIBO, gut dysbiosis, food triggers, vagal tone.

03

Type 2 diabetes & insulin resistance

An HbA1c that keeps creeping up despite the metformin and the morning walks.

What we look for

Fasting insulin, HOMA-IR, sleep, stress, fatty liver markers.

04

Skin: acne, eczema, hives

Adult acne, stubborn eczema, or hives no antihistamine has fixed.

What we look for

Gut, hormones, histamine pathway, food triggers.

05

Thyroid & hormonal imbalance

A normal TSH on paper, fatigue and weight that say otherwise.

What we look for

Full thyroid panel, antibodies, conversion, adrenal load.

Common multi-system patterns

Most patients have more than one of these going on at the same time.

Here are the patterns we see most often.

  • PCOS, insulin resistance and skin breakouts arriving as one picture.
  • IBS and skin (eczema or chronic hives) flaring on the same week.
  • Hypothyroidism, weight that will not shift, and low mood that no antidepressant has touched.
  • Type 2 diabetes, fatty liver and unrefreshing sleep (often sleep apnoea) showing up together.
  • Hormonal acne, gut bloating and broken sleep, all in the same patient, all dismissed as separate.

This is why a single specialist visit, with a single test and a single tablet, often misses the picture. The body is one system. We read it that way.

A note on medication

Long-term medication is the marker we work to reduce. Not the goal in itself.

We are not anti-medicine. Short-term metformin, a thyroid tablet, an antihistamine during a flare, all of these have a place. Some medications, like insulin in type 1 diabetes, are non-negotiable and we will never stop them. What we work on is the slow, careful job of reducing your daily reliance on long-term prescriptions where the clinical picture genuinely allows. The number that matters is not how many tablets we can take away. It is how well your body is running underneath them.

Ready to be heard properly

Your condition has a story. We are listening for it.

Applications are reviewed personally. Tell us what has been going on and what you have already tried. We’ll write back with whether The Root Method is the right fit.
