Elixir.
Treat the root.
The deepest 90-day root-cause protocol. Personalised to your case and reviewed at fortnightly checkpoints. Where the old patterns finally start moving.
The deep work, done patiently.
Elixir is the part of The Root Method where we stop stabilising and start changing things at the root. It is shaped to your specific constellation of labs and symptoms, not to a template. The protocol you receive will not be the protocol someone else receives, even if you both walk in with the same diagnosis on paper.
Most patients move into Elixir from Ascend. Some come straight from the Diagnostic when the case is layered enough that 30 days of foundations will not be enough. Either way, this is the phase where chronic conditions like diabetes, PCOS, thyroid, and gut start to actually shift. Reviewed at fortnightly checkpoints. Adjusted as your body responds.
Six things that come with the 90-day protocol.
Everything is built on what your Diagnostic surfaced. Nothing is generic.
- 01
A bespoke protocol designed around your Diagnostic findings.
- 02
Fortnightly 30-minute consults (around 6 to 8 over 90 days).
- 03
A targeted supplement and food protocol, refined every 2 weeks based on how your body is responding.
- 04
Mid-protocol re-test of key labs (HbA1c, fasting insulin, full thyroid panel, hormone panel as relevant to your case).
- 05
A medication-tapering plan in writing where the clinical picture allows it (always in coordination with your treating physician).
- 06
WhatsApp and email support throughout the 90 days.
The typical arc, week by week.
Every case moves at its own pace. This is the rough shape of what most Elixir patients experience.
Stabilising
We start gentle. Food, sleep, and a small supplement stack to settle the system. Most patients notice their energy stops crashing in the afternoon. Sleep quality improves. The body remembers what stable feels like.
First symptom shifts
Bloating eases. Cycles start to feel less unpredictable. Skin calms. Sugar cravings begin to lift. Numbers have not moved much yet. The body is.
First numbers moving
Mid-protocol labs are usually drawn around now. Fasting sugars come down. Insulin softens. TSH drifts toward range. Hormones look more like a curve and less like a saw blade.
Medication taper conversations begin
Where the clinical picture supports it, this is when we write the taper plan and loop in your treating physician. Never unilateral. Never rushed. Only when the labs and the symptoms agree.
Consolidation
We lock in what is working, simplify the supplement stack, and write a maintenance protocol you can run on your own. The goal is for you to leave with a clear picture of what your body needs and a plan you can keep.
For patients ready to commit to the work.
Elixir is for patients with chronic conditions who are ready to put in the time. Diabetes, PCOS, thyroid, gut, skin patterns that have been around for years and have not responded to the usual approach.
It is for patients on long-term medication who want to reduce their dependence on it, with their treating physician’s agreement. Not by going off cold. By fixing the inputs so the body needs less of the medicine over time.
And it is for patients whose Ascend phase showed promising shifts. The first 30 days told us your body responds to the foundations. Elixir is where we go deeper into the specific drivers your case is built on.
Not anti-medicine. Pro getting you off the ones you should not need forever.
Most patients walk into Elixir on at least one long-term medication. Metformin. A BP pill. A statin. Levothyroxine. The OCP. Often two or three of these stacked together.
By the end of 90 days, many walk out on fewer. Sometimes on none. Sometimes on the same dose, but with the underlying picture finally addressed and the trajectory pointing the other way. Sometimes the right answer is to stay on a medication and accept that, because the case calls for it.
We are not anti-medicine. We prescribe medication when it is the right tool, especially in the early weeks. We are pro getting you off medicines you should not need to take forever. That is the whole point of this work.
What 90 days can and cannot do.
We would rather you sign up with the right expectations than the ones marketing usually sets.
Around 70% report meaningful improvement in 90 days
Defined as a measurable shift in symptoms or labs, not just feeling vaguely better. The remaining 30% usually need longer, especially if the case is older or layered.
Reversal of type 2 diabetes is real, for many but not all
Duration of disease, beta-cell reserve, and your willingness to change food are the main predictors. We will tell you upfront where you sit on that curve.
Cycles regularising in 90 days is common, not universal
PCOS that has been managed on the OCP for years sometimes needs a longer runway. Cycles often start to space more predictably first, then shorten.
Hashimoto’s is a longer arc
Antibodies move slowly. Ninety days will usually trend them in the right direction. A full reset in autoimmune thyroid often asks for 6 to 12 months.
In their words.
Six months back HbA1c was 8.4. I had been on metformin for 11 years, my doctor told me I will be on insulin soon. Now it is 5.9, off metformin completely. The food part was the hardest, my wife had to cook two meals for the first month and we had a few fights about it honestly. But it is paisa vasool. Worth all the trouble and the supplement bills.
TSH was 8.9 when I started, on 75 mcg thyronorm for three years and the dose kept going up every six months. I am a 38 year old man and being told I have hypothyroidism felt strange honestly, I thought it was a women's problem. The team here did not make me feel weird about it. TSH is 2.1 now, dose has been brought down to 25 mcg with my endocrinologist's approval, and I sleep through the night for the first time in years.
IBS-D for almost seven years. I had stopped travelling for work, was carrying loperamide everywhere, my whole life was planned around bathroom access. Did the elixir programme for 11 months. The first three months were rough because we had to pull out gluten, dairy, and a few other things and find what was triggering me. Now I eat roti, drink chai, no issues. I went to a wedding in Jaipur last month and ate everything. Did not need a single tablet. Cannot put a price on that.
Ninety days of careful work, on a body that has been waiting to be heard.
Apply with a short note about what is going on. If you have already completed the Diagnostic or Ascend, mention that. Dr. Nupur reviews every application personally.
